Located on the South Shore of Long Island, a few minutes walk from the Long Island Railroad Islip Station is a 150 year old brick building that was originally deeded as a saloon and inn. Designed and built in the late 1800’s by Carmelo Consiglio, it was originally part of the Moffitt estate, and still sits on the street named after William H. Moffitt who revived the old Islip Driving Park (also known as the Willow Brook Race Track/Willow Brook Driving Park.) During the summers, affluent gentlemen would come out for leisure, racing, and betting.
It is now a four unit apartment building and our home, which I have begun to improve and fix as it has sat somewhat neglected over the years. Three of the units are available for visitors to stay at while on vacation, each with a different, whimsical theme. Located a stone’s throw away from the bustling Main Street of Bay Shore, a few minutes drive to the Fire Island Ferries, the Bay Shore Marina, as well as the gorgeous beaches of Robert Moses, it’s a little slice of paradise that I would love to share with you. The property has chickens and quail (from which you can collect your own eggs for breakfast), and herbs, fruits, and vegetables cultivated as an edible landscape.
Unit 1: Gothic Victorian Style 2 Bedroom Stay
This unit features gothic victorian decor with a shabby chic vibe, so there’s a lot of whimsy and a touch of magic! Some of the pieces of furniture you will see and use are antiques, each with their own unique histories.

This unit is bright and cheerful, with a French country cottage style that’s straight out of a story book. There are Studio Ghibli Easter Eggs hidden throughout the unit, see if you can spot them all!
